Have A Zoom Easter Bonnet Competition
How about taking on a blast from the past and harking back to your school days with an Easter bonnet competition? You can get crafty in your own home and decorate a hat with all manner of Easter-themed items before showing off with others either in your household or with friends over Zoom. It’s the perfect excuse to get on a video call with buddies, and you can even offer up a chocolatey prize for the person to have created the best bonnet.
The Easter bonnet dates back well over 100 years, but it wasn’t until the 1930s when it really caught the imagination of people beyond Europe thanks to an Irving Berlin song named Easter Parade. So why not continue the tradition?
Build the Ultimate Easter Egg Hunt
Easter eggs are undoubtedly one of the best things about Easter Sunday, but they are even better when they’ve been earned. Easter egg hunts are great fun for both young and old and you can create one no matter how big or small your space. Whether in a studio flat or a grand home with ample garden space, you can always find some great hiding place for some eggs and set your loved ones off on a hunt to find them. You can do it with chocolate eggs, or even real ones incentivising it if there are multiple people in the hunt with a grand prize for the person who finds the most.
Get Crafty & Dress an Egg
Another competition that may take you back to the good old days is an old-fashioned dressed egg competition. Again, it could be enjoyed over Zoom or within your household, and really gets the creative juices flowing. The aim of the game is to dress a hard-boiled egg in the most extravagant and inventive way possible, with inspiration available everywhere.
Hold an Easter ‘Best Dressed Egg’ competition with family and friends via Zoom for #AMMF? Everyone makes a donation to enter and votes for their favourite! ‘Egg-cellent’ idea!

Perhaps you could dress your egg as a superhero, TV star or even create a scene re-enacting a scene from history. Within your competition you may wish to create a specific theme, for example Game of Thrones characters or famous musicians, and you’ll perhaps be surprised with what you can do with what’s in your home.
Take A Walk in The Countryside
Finally, Easter often brings excellent weather and is a beacon of springtime. It’s the perfect opportunity to see the new life which is beginning to enter the world, from the likes of daffodils and bluebells sprouting on woodland floors, to the bunnies, lambs, and calves which are beginning to hop around the fields. It’s impossible not to put a smile on your face and is the ideal way to get a bit of fresh air and enjoy a brisk walk with a loved one.
